The Actor Stephan Erdman is one of the leading bilingual German actors based in the UK.
German born Stephan Erdman trained at the Drama Centre London and then started his acting career as the brooding murderous lead in “Something Secondary”, an award winning short film by Japanese director Tetsuya Tomina.
He went on to play German Lieutenant Klaus Hofmann in the Oscar shortlisted war drama “The Dance of Shiva” by Jamie Payne, working alongside and with Kenneth Branagh, Sanjeev Bhaskar and the late Cinematography legend Jack Cardiff.
Shooting numerous lead roles in independent films provided a perfect platform to further develop his presence in front of camera before playing one of the leading German roles in BBC1’s “D-Day” directed by Richard Dale and several other BBC1 and BBC2 Docudramas.
Having started out playing several edgier dramatic roles he showed his talent for comedy as a bored sonar operator in the award winning UK Film Council produced “In the Mood” opposite Adrian Peck and Kelly Brook and then played violinist Lukas in Peter Howitt’s feature film “Dangerous Parking”.
His most recent feature film war time family drama “Brothers of War” is now available on DVD!
